The Congo

Elephant Stew

This stew feeds a crowd.  Get your children to help in the preparation.

Ingredients:

1 elephant

2 rabbits (optional)

Salt and pepper

Brown gravy

Directions:

Cut elephant into small bite-sized pieces.  This should take about 2 months.  Add enough gravy to cover.  Cook over kerosene fire for about 4 weeks at 165 degrees F.

This will serve 3,800 people.  If more are expected, 2 rabbits may be added.  (Do this only if necessary, as most people do not like to find hare in their stew.)

Advance notice is necessary for preparation (365 days preferred).
