With our 7 we had our share of run-ins with school and public officials who thought they knew what was going on in our childrens minds. To this day I consider these meddlers to be the problem rather than the cure. <br />I feel for you with Isaac. Lets hope he grows out of things like the cowboys. Mental illness is so scary and emotionally draining to deal with. We&#39;ve had to split our family into two different household to protect younger children from an often violent mentally ill teenage brother. I often feel that treatment for the mentally ill is still in the dark ages in so many respects. <br />I deal with it by trying to realize and be gratefull for all the little blessings, miracles, angels (seen and unseen) that have helped guide our family through these tough times. Hang in there. Soak up those tender mercies when they do happen and take care of yourself.
