The Garbage Can
We live in a pretty neighborhood with very clean, tidy people who care for their homes and yards. The problem is several neighbors, I'm assuming out of convenience leave their unsightly trashcans in the front yards in a very conspicuous place.
My husband and I have always been conscious of the appearance of our home, inside and especially outside. We have to work harder at this than most people as we are going on baby #8 in a couple of months. We are well aware that the outside of the home is the first impression someone gets of the kind of people we are. Because of this, we have always made a concerted effort to keep the trashcan in a place that is not so noticeable to the eye or the nose! There are times, depending on the house we're living in at the time, that it was difficult, but we keep making sure the kids know too to keep the trashcan out of the way.
Take some time today to notice if you smell the trashcan when you come up to your door, or is it more than noticeable from the street? Remember, it is the little things that make our homes more beautiful and livable.

This is an area I really need to work on.
The front of our house is very attractive, but we really let it down by not taking very good care of it.
Perhaps this is a task for us to work on over Easter weekend.
Good reminder about the trash cans, and the appearance of the outside of our homes. It does have an effect on the look of the whole neighborhood when we're not paying attention to our own little slice of it. Thanks :)
It should be a habit to keep the neighborhood clean...I mean every individual must be conscious of it.Why should one want to litter the outside?
