Oh my goodness! We are all sick. I think it's croup. It started with Simeon, spread to Hannah and Isaac, spread to me, then Curtis, and now Jesse. Three days ago I started with contractions that were every 3 -7 minutes all day, so by that night, unable to walk through some of them, Curtis insisted I go get checked. They admitted me. The baby had moved down to 0 station, I was still only dilated to 2.5cm but had effaced to 50%. We walked, sat on the birthing ball, got monitored, and did it all over again, all.night.long. I think we might have slept an hour. In the morning, nothing had changed so they released me. Yesterday, nothing happened all day except we were getting sicker. Today I had another appointment. The baby is lower, if that is even possible. No other changes. Curtis and I are now sicker than yesterday, and I can barely talk anymore. Thank goodness for Robitussin.
I guess I never realize how good I feel on a daily basis until I get sick. After the appointment this morning we came home, got Rosey, took her to the vet to get her stitches removed (she was spayed last week), came back home and I insisted we get our house cleaned up. It is beautiful today. In fact, the temperature right now is 63 degrees. (Means there is a storm coming). Hmm..I should go walking...never mind, back to topic at hand. The boys cleaned up the backyard and I fixed the fence so Rosey can't keep escaping. Then we cleaned up and organized (sort of) the family room. After getting the furniture to the consignment shop, I turned the family room into our school room. We made lunch and as soon as I sat down, I felt like I needed a nap. This never happens to me. I look over a Jesse, and he looks the same. We hurried and cleaned that up and then everyone took a nap this afternoon, except Isaac, who never sleeps anyway.
We vegged on the couch watching Mansfield Park (great movie!) this afternoon. Now I'm trying really hard to musters some motivation to make dinner rather than wimping out and going out to eat...again.
