Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year! At the same time, while I love the holidays, I'm relieved and sad for them to be over. It felt like it came and went too fast, but now I feel like I can get down to some serious business I've been putting off.
I want to finish this Medical Transcription course I've been working on, for.ever. I know it's just a matter of scheduling myself, but it just seems like other things come up and that gets put on the back burner.
I'm gearing up to have this baby!! 8 and half weeks left to go. I still need to get out the baby clothes, pack the bags, get the baby stuff set up, and get some diapers and other little things newborns need. Guess that's the beauty of have boy #5, everything is pretty much prepared for him already.
Curtis and I want to get on a budget that will allow us to save some money, get out of debt, and get a vehicle that will seat at least 8. Still working on that plan. We are hoping Curtis will get a job in San Antonio this year but that is still very much up in the air.
My other goals include:
Getting and keeping the kids on a homeschool schedule. We took a short break for Christmas, but now it will be back to the grind tomorrow.
Getting on a cleaning schedule so I'm not in some frantic cleaning frenzy at the end of the week. I've been working on this for a few weeks and so far it's not gotten too deep in here. Laundry is still my sore spot. I do laundry, I get it all caught up, and the very next day 3 baskets are overflowing again!! What the heck?!
I want to get us on a diet that is healthier and easier (if that is possible). Curtis needs to loose some weight, I haven't gained much weight with this pregnancy, but even pre-pregnancy weight felt was a little too much for me. The kids have milk allergies, so I'm trying to find ways to exclude milk from our diet. We love milk though and it makes it hard to eliminate it.
Write to my grandma every week, or at least 2 times a month. She's in her 90's and lives in an assisted living home. I don't think she gets out much, but she loves to get mail and I've not been very diligent in keeping up with her.
Anyone want to share their resolutions or goals for the New Year?

Hi Dawn! I commented on your last post about having children with autism. I just wanted to let you know that my youngest (the one with pdd-nos) has milk allergies, so if you need any advice on going milk-free, I would be glad to help. I'm by no means an expert, but she's been on a milk-free diet for the last few yrs so I have a bit of experience. Your New Year's resolution list looks about as busy as mine! I have all these plans, but I really need to get organized on how to actually accomplish my goals. My youngest dd is having her annual ARD meeting before she starts kindergarten next school year, so that is my first priority for 2008. One of my other goals is to go walking for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week. I also want to do better about having personal scripture study. Anyway, if you ever want to talk about autism, food allergies, or anything else, feel free to email me.
