Books and Movie Reviews

These are some books and movies I have reviewed over the last couple months:

Good Movies we've watched lately:
Lincense to Wed
Enemy Mine (laugh at the 1980's special effects)
Rise of the Silver Surfer
Work and the Glory 3 (wish those movies came out closer together and were a little longer)
Transformers
Ratatouille
Picadilly Cowboy (LDS based, and older, but it was a cute movie). It may also be known as Anxiously Engaged, a Picadilly Romance.

So-So Movies:
Harry Potter 5 (this was not my favorite book or movie of the series though)
Spider Man 3

Not so good movies:
Santa Claus 3
Your's Mine and Ours

Books:
Bleed, Blister and Purge (Book about the history of medicine on the western frontier. Very interesting!! I don't know where I was, but I don't remember learning anything about Lewis and Clark, and this has a chapter devoted to them and their work. Also talks about homeopathic medicine which fascinates me.)

Amish Women (not as different as I thought they were)

The Millionair's Mind

American Creation

Mothering. This was written with scriptural reference for becoming a better mother. (Yes, picked this up in a moment of guilt over not starting school earlier this year).

Jane Austen Book Club: Sucked. I don't know if the movie will be any better, but I thought the book was drival.

Your Pregnancy Week by Week: Yes, I've also forgotten everything about being pregnant from the last 5 times.

The Other Eminent Men of Wilford Woodruff. This is a church book, but it's mostly biographies of founding fathers and other famous men (Columbus...I've never read any of the stuff about him as presented in this book..INTERESTING!!).

The Mom Book. I got this years ago in Hawaii. It's a huge book of tips and ideas for all kinds of stuff when raising your kids. Recently I was looking up potty training tips.
